Renovation of the front-line building. The house was built in 1937, which brings its own structural features, e.g. vilpola, solid fire points and the absence of a wet room. In the planning, we had to think a lot about how to make the house work for today's needs.
In my plan, vilpola and wall structures are dismantled in order to make the house as structurally minimalist as possible. The dining area becomes spacious and bright because it is open up to the ceiling. Another detail of the roof is the crossbeams that stay in place, which get their rights in the rooms on the upper floor. The course assignment differed strongly from our other courses because we also built miniature models according to our plans.
